Flying on the DreamLiner 787

On July 24, 2013, I was on the first flight to leave O'Hare International Airport in a DreamLiner 787. I flew with LOT Polish Airlines, and I was very impressed.

Let's start with the windows. Every other plane I have flown on, there was a plastic window shade that you manually pull down or push up. This plane had windows that would automatically tint to blue with the push of a button. Here is a side-by-side comparison showing the window when completely clear (left) and fully tinted (right).

In all of my past transatlantic plane rides,
I have always had some issue with my personal TV not working. Whether it is the touchscreen function breaking or the sound not working properly, there is always something wrong with my seat. This screen worked great, though, letting you choose whether to use the touchscreen or the pop-out remote.

Unfortunately a lot of the movies had to be paid for, but I guess that is a LOT thing. The only free options were Argo, Happy Feet, and Ruby Sparks (which I am watching in the picture).

Because my flight was originally scheduled to be on a much smaller plane, the DreamLiner 787 (which seats 9 across instead of 7) was about half empty. I sat against the window, had an empty seat next to me, and then a woman was sitting at the aisle. About 15 minutes into the flight, she spotted an empty row, so she moved, leaving me with a whole row to myself. Now that is how to travel.
What's the best plane you have ever on? What is your favorite airline to fly with internationally?
