Mistranslation Monday: Are You Upset?

Here are some people that look exceptionally
happy while buying some new pants

Marco visited me for the first time in May of 2012. He was excited to go shopping in his first few days here, so we went downtown and spent a lot of time along Michigan Avenue.

The first store were at was the Macy's inside the Water Tower Place. Since he would be attending my graduation events, he wanted a new pair of black pants. As he was checking out, the cashier asked him, "Are you all set?"

"No..." Marco replied, glancing at me questioningly.

"Yes, you are." I replied, looking at him and feeling quite confused. The cashier tentatively began the checkout process at Marco kept giving me sideways glances. After leaving the register Marco started asking me about why the cashier would think that he was upset, and why I responded that he was.
